Resumen: Se presenta una compilación de información referente al terremoto de Limón, ocurrido el día 22 de abril de 1991. Presenta algunos de los principales datos técnicos y de afectación. También explica los efectos producidos a nivel geológico y las acciones prioritarias que se realizaron. Por último, se expone la importancia que tuvo el sismo para la Comisión Nacional de Prevención de Riesgos y Atención de Emergencias y para la ejecución de iniciativas en la organización del país en el tema de los desastres

It presents a compilation of the information in regards to the Limon earthquake, April 22, 1991. It presents some of the main technical and affectation data. It also explains the geological effects and the main actions taken. Lastly, it exposes the importance that the earthquake had for the National Commission of Risk Prevention and Emergency Response and for the execution of initiatives in the country organization in the topic of disasters
