Resumen: Describe las actividades realizadas por el Centro de Documentación e Información de la Comisión Nacional de Prevención de Riesgos y Atención de Emergencias, con respecto una de sus metas estratégicas: Crear capacidades en los comités municipales de emergencias orientados al manejo y administración de información sobre la gestión del riesgo, mediante la tecnología de información y comunicación. Las actividades consistieron en dos talleres, uno en San José y otro en Liberia, dirigido a diferentes funcionarios municipales, geólogos, geógrafos, bibliotecarios, entre otros, a los cuales además se les entregó varios materiales. Adicionalmente se realizó un tercer taller dirigido a los documentalistas de la Red de Información Sobre Desarrollo Sostenible y Desastres

It describes the activities developed by the Documentation and Information Center of the National Commission of Risk Prevention and Emergency Response in regards to one of its strategic goals: develop capacities in the emergency municipal committees addressed to administer information about risk management, through information technology and communication. Activities consisted of two workshops: one in San José and another one in Liberia, addressed to different municipal employees, geologists, geographers, librarians, among others. They received several materials. There was also a third workshop addressed to documentarists of the Information Network about Sustainable Development and Disasters
